AJ Ackerman has lived all over the United States. Florida was home through elementary school and again in his teenage years, where he attended Mariner High School in Cape Coral. After spending his twenties in Atlanta, GA he returned to Cape Coral in 2008 when he, like many others, lost everything during the recession.
His best friend from high school graciously allowed him 6 months in their home to get back on his feet, and after contemplating a new career choice he decided to pursue real estate. AJ's entire adult life was spent in various customer-service industries and he knew he could make a difference truly helping people.
AJ is passionate about building quality relationships with clients who often become friends, by being a good listener and communicating consistently & effectively. With thoughtful solutions, market/industry knowledge, and systematic results, he helps guide each client's unique experience while maintaining the highest ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
AJ's first year in real estate proved he had found a calling when he successfully advised clients in total purchases of $2.4 million or 24 total properties in the middle of an economic recession. He enjoyed continued success in real estate, growing his business 30 - 60% each year, to $15 million in sales, or over 60 transactions in 2015.
AJ then decided it was time to open a real estate brokerage so that he could further share his passion for helping people buy, sell, and build homes in SWFL by coaching and training other Realtors® to find success in this business as he has. In 2015 Experience Real Estate Group opened with three Realtors®, and by the end of 2018 he had organically grown it to over fifty agents producing almost $90 million in sales.
After learning about eXp and re-evaluating growing family life, AJ sold his brokerage to his business partner and joined eXp at the end of January 2019 to focus on his personal real estate sales as well as coaching agents across the United States.
Courtney Ackerman is a Florida native, having grown up in Orlando. She has lived in Cape Coral since 2006 & couldn't imagine life outside of Florida.
Prior to joining AJ in real estate after their first child was born in 2015, Courtney had a 9- year career in retail banking, putting herself through college & worked up to managing branch operations.
During her first 3 years in real estate she specialized in new construction, partnering with a local custom home builder helping 23 clients buy, sell, or build.
Courtney enjoys overseeing the detailed aspects of buying & selling real estate, and works to protect the client while ensuring they have the information needed to move from contract to close with low stress & lots of success.
